Downtown by Walking or Biking
Throw your helmet on and ride along one of Denver’s many bikeways to get downtown! Our center city is connected near the South Platte River Trail, Cherry Creek Trail, and many intracity bike lanes making it easy to cycle.
Scooter and Bike Share: Don’t own a bike or scooter? Not a problem! Download the Lyft or Bird apps and take an e-bike or scooter downtown. Just remember to ride devices in bike lanes and park responsibly.
Bike Routes

Off-Street Parking Options
There are many Off-Street Parking Options in Downtown Denver. From surface lots to parking garages there are many options to fit your parking needs throughout downtown. SpotHero is a tool that allows drivers to search and compare parking facilities and fees in their area. Users can reserve and prepay for their parking instantly on their devices making parking a seamless process.
On-Street Parking Information
The City of Denver’s Smart Meters accept debit and credits cards, as well as coins and ParkSmart cards. Rates at on-street parking meters in Downtown Denver vary by location and are posted on the meter or kiosk. Visitors who need to park for longer periods of time are encouraged to consider parking at one of the many off-street parking lots or garages in Downtown Denver. The Overnight Parking Program allows you to park your vehicles at meters overnight. Be sure to pay attention to overhead signs about street sweeping schedules and other guidelines located on the parking meters. On-street meter parking is free on Sundays and City holidays. Zipcar is a membership-based car-sharing service with vehicles available by the hour and by the day. Zipcar has a wide range of makes and models from Mercedes C300, Mazda 3’s w/bike racks and Ford Escape’s w/ski racks just to name a few. As a member of Zipcar, you have access to the more than 12,000 Zipcars all across the United States and Canada. Gas and Insurance is always included!
