Keeping Downtown Clean
Maintaining a clean and safe environment is vital to the success of downtown Denver and its businesses. The work contributes to creating a space that the community is proud of and encourages people to return often and engage.
The Downtown Denver Business Improvement District maintains the 120-block right-of-way, building face to curb, and on 16th Street, building face to building face, Broadway to Wynkoop Street. This work is provided with the help of 55 Clean Team Members, performing the work twenty-four-seven, 365 days a year. The work includes pan and brooming the sidewalks, emptying the trash from the receptacles, and power washing the sidewalks twice annually, and more often on 16th Street.
Other activities, including taking care of the planters and trees throughout the DDBID provide a welcoming feel and add to the comfort and walkability of the downtown environment.
