Together, with more than 500 Member organizations, we are leading the voice for private sector businesses in Downtown Denver.

2007 Downtown Area Plan
In 2007, the Downtown Denver Partnership and the City and County of Denver, with funding support from the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District (DDBID) and numerous other public and private entities, convened the community to develop a bold vision to achieve a vibrant, economically healthy, growing and vital center city. With this 20-year vision as our guide, an unparalleled bias for action, and vision set firmly on building an economically competitive center city, we have seen incredible progress in our dedicated and sustained efforts to realize each of the plan’s vision elements.

2024 - 2025
Downtown Area Plan
In September 2024 the Downtown Denver Partnership and the City and County of Denver launched a year-long journey to once again envision the future of Downtown Denver and craft a bold and visionary plan. The 12 month planning process includes recommendations for each downtown neighborhood including, Auraira, Central Platte Valley, Ballpark, Arapahoe Square, Upper Downtown and Golden Triangle. The project involves four distinct phases of work to engage community members and to establish a vision for the future of the district.
The Downtown Area Plan Project has 4 distinct goals:
-
Create a Vibrant Downtown: Reorient downtown to include a broader mix of uses, services and public investment to create a welcoming neighborhood for all Denverites.
-
Advance existing Plans Swiftly: Leverage existing city and area-wide guidance for downtown to jumpstart the design process.
-
Fill gaps and address emerging trends: Consider trends and issues not accounted for in 2007, such as office vacancies and re-envisioning the traditional Central Business District in response to post-pandemic trends.
-
Be bold, strategic and action oriented: Prioritize existing ideas and discuss other bold, transformative ideas for downtown early in the process to focus on implementation.
